MY JOURNEY

I’ve been walking the path of yoga since 2010, and sharing it with others since 2015.

My Yoga journey began, In a tiny appartement in Brussels (Yes i am from Belgium) with an Ashtangha class a friend brought me to, to let go of our busy work day (when I was working as a PR manager for Dior beauty).

The release I felt after the class hooked me and I started practicing weekly before moving to Congo in Africa where my practice definitely was a saviour and anchor in the whirlwind of life change I just jumped into.

But and foremost in the middle of Kinshasa’s chaos I met the most amazing and experienced teacher who’s classes were about 2 hours long and where I discovered the essence of the Hatha philosophy, the kriyas, pranayama and it’s power, asanas that served the body rather than the ego. My practice went to weekly to almost daily and learned so much also on how to bring yoga off the mat, how the teachings can help navigate daily life, emotions, fears, changes, deception, joy, etc., fast forward to 2015 where i was asked to give a yoga class by some friends as I was practicing so much. I started to teach what my teacher thaught me and soon felt I wanted to train properly. This is how I searched and found a proper and serious training in Hatha yoga.

I chose a classical Hatha Yoga training through Zuna Yoga in Bali, and it continues to unfold through annual retreats, ongoing trainings, and deep self-exploration. Yoga isn’t just something I teach, it’s how I live, breathe, and return to myself.

Over the years, I’ve studied and practiced Hatha Yoga, pranayama, meditation, Yin Yoga, myofascial release (MFR), and fertility-focused yoga rooted in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. My approach is soft but grounded, with the intention of guiding others gently back home, to their bodies, their breath, and their inner knowing.

One of the deepest callings in my work is supporting women through all stages of their reproductive journey. Whether you’re longing to conceive, navigating pregnancy, healing in postpartum, or just reconnecting with your feminine rhythm, I hold space for you. I truly believe that when we feel seen, held, and supported, we begin to remember our own power.

Each class I offer is a sanctuary , a space to land, to feel, to breathe. Through asana, breathwork, and stillness, I hope to help you cultivate balance, resilience, self-awareness, and the deep kind of acceptance that changes everything.

After more than a decade of practice, I continue to show up with humility, gratitude, and awe for the tradition that’s given me so much.

The name “Kala” has been with me since I was a little girl , a loving nickname from my family. Over time, it’s become the soul of my offerings. To me, Kala means remembering: joy, love, trust, presence. It’s that pure essence we all carry beneath the noise of the world. Through this space, I invite you to come back to that part of yourself and to move through life with softness, awareness, and grace.

  • I’ve walked this road myself. I was medically diagnosed with unexplained infertility — a diagnosis that came as quite a shock. I was only 28 at the time, healthy, living well, and doing “all the right things.” It didn’t make sense. But instead of fighting my body, I chose to walk this path with reverence — led by the teachings of yoga, inspired by Patanjali and the sutras, and supported by my incredible husband and family.

This journey cracked me open. I dove deep into my past, faced the emotions I used to avoid — the anger, the sadness, the frustration, the hope. I explored my mind, my body, and my breath to navigate the rollercoaster: the hopeful days, the nerve-racking days, the heartbreaking ones. And yes, I had many of them. Each failed IUI, IVF, or stimulation cycle was painful — and still, after crying and grieving, I found a way to celebrate the attempt, and eventually, to let it go.

Yoga — the physical practice, the philosophy, the stillness — didn’t just support me. It saved me. It saved my relationship. It gave me tools to hold myself, to trust again, to breathe through what felt unbearable.

After six years of trying, I was blessed with my first baby. I embraced the sacred, transformative journey of pregnancy — and the oh-so-demanding reality of motherhood. The teachings still hold me today, helping me show up, stay grounded, and raise my children with presence, patience, and love.

I made a promise to myself: if I ever found peace in this journey, I’d help others find it too. What I share now is a blend of tradition, personal experience, and deep practice — a fertility-focused yoga approach rooted in compassion, presence, and the belief that you are not broken. You are whole, even in the waiting.
